STARRY, STARRY NIGHT
It was such a starry, starry night
When we drove across Texas and New Mexico,
With a one year old child in the back seat, sleeping soundly;
As we continued on our journey
Across country, from Ohio
I had never seen so many stars before
In all my life.
The sky was full from horizon to horizon
With millions of stars.
I don’t remember everything about that journey
In 1961, shortly after my twenty first birthday,
But I do remember that starry, starry, night.
