When ever you are feeling blue
and don’t know what you ought to do,
take a little tip from me and
go outside and hug a tree
You may encounter little ants,
don’t get them on your shirt or pants,
You’ll find it’s really just breeze.
going outside and hugging trees,
I hugged a tree in the Redwood Forest,
It was far too big, but of course it is,
You can only hug a wee small part,
It still does good for your human heart
Next time you need a gentle lift,
Go hug a tree, it’s a precious gift,
The only thing that you’ll find it lacks,
is that the tree doesn’t hug you back.
