THE HORSE

Slowly…I mounted the horse, and swung my leg over the saddle.

My feet found the stirrups and I slid them inside.

I picked up the reins and with trepidation, said aloud “Giddyup!”

And off we went.  Slowly, then faster and faster as I bounced

up and down on the saddle. Then – I felt myself slipping!

I fell sideways

but my foot caught in one of the stirrups

and I dangled helplessly as the horse galloped on and on–

I screamed with fright as the horse continued his mad dash…

Then, I was saved as a store employee pulled the plug.
