DIVING IN

We’re willy-nilly diving in

head-first and there’s no net;

We took the plunge without a thought

of what we’re going to get.

We’re diving in, the water’s cold

the lifestyle here’s a switch,

From everything we had before,

We’ve lost our cozy niche.

Who, at our age, would venture forth

And buy a fixer-upper?

A house “as is” the papers state,

We’ll be going without our supper…

Expenses mount when diving in–

and there’s not a net

But, two thousand eight is not

a year we’ll soon forget!
